Dicamba Grower Trainings


Dicamba Grower Trainings This training covers the following products:  Monsanto’s XtendiMax® herbicide with VaporGrip® Technology; DuPont™ FeXapan™ herbicide plus VaporGrip® Technology and BASF’s Engenia® Herbicide. The federal registration requires that only Certified Applicators may apply these products and prior to applying these products, the applicator must complete dicamba or auxin-specific training.  Certain states require that an applicator complete training conducted by the state. This training will not fulfill that requirement.  Please check with your state pesticide regulatory agency for training and application requirements imposed by your state.

Nitrogen Management is Gaining Attention


Silage season is going strong and as the fields are getting opened up a high percentage are showing nitrogen stress.  This likely will have affected yield and become more apparent as harvest progresses.

Decision Time on Soybeans is Here


We have many fields at or nearing the R3 growth stage and this is when we typically get the biggest yield response to foliar treatments.  We are hoping to keep an extra flower or two from aborting or trying to get more 4-bean pods instead of 3-bean.

 This year Cooperative Farmers Elevator offered 10, $1000 scholarships to our area high schools. We are pleased to present 6 scholarships. These individuals will be pursing a degree in agriculture. These individuals all showcase the dedication and drive to be a future advocate and leader in the ag industry.
