CFE Joins Land O' Lakes SUSTAIN

Jun 17, 2019

Cooperative Farmers Elevator (CFE) has joined the Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN™ agricultural retailer network, giving CFE’s farmers access to tools and resources that support on-farm conservation activities, enables the protection of water, land and air resources and supports farmer’s bottom-lines.

"Cooperative Farmers Elevator is excited to join the robust network of Land O'Lakes SUSTAIN. As a farmer-owned cooperative we are always looking for products and services that continue to support our farmers, their businesses and their families," says Rob Jacobs, CFE CEO. "We believe that by working with Land O'Lakes SUSTAIN and utilizing the Truterra Insights Engine we can drive a unique value proposition for our farmers that balances both the environmental and economic impacts."

One of the new services available to CFE farmers is the Truterra™ Insights Engine, a first-of-its-kind digital platform that tracks a farm’s current practices like cover cropping, nutrient application and tillage. With acre-by-acre data, CFE agronomists can now offer increased support with customized stewardship solutions that best support the farmer, their land and their business.

Farmers are the original stewards of the land and CFE is proud to join Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN in this effort. Together, CFE and their farmers can measure sustainability on a field-by-field basis, create a baseline of sustainable practices and work to continually improve season after season. In partnership with Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN, CFE is building a platform to increase long-term farmer resiliency, support customized sustainability solutions and share the great work of CFE farmers through the Land O’Lakes network.

"As a full-service agronomy retailer, we know how important it is to get the most crop from the inputs to ensure the most efficient crop, each year," states CFE. Now, with the addition of Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN, CFE will not only be able to work towards achieving efficiency in a sustainable way, they are also giving a voice to farmers and the means to continue to protect the land for generations to come.

If you as a grower are ready to learn more about the Truterra Insights Program please contact your CFE agronomist or location manager.
